Is Change Needed?
Short Change
Others become offended by the idea of a universal human need for change.
In particular, they are offended at the idea that some people think they
know how everyone else needs to change. "Who are you to tell me that I
need to change? You don't have the right to impose your ideas on me."
- Still others hold a view of God that allows them to remain content in
their own sin. "God will forgive me - that's His job." They presume upon
God's grace as if it is something that He owes them, or as if it is
something that He puts at our disposal to use whenever and however we wish.
And so there is no need for us to change, either from our perspective or
from God's.
