What Do Elders Do When They Meet?
For Example…
Elders are to devote themselves to the ministry of the Word and prayer (Acts
6). Therefore, a significant portion of time should be invested at the outset
of each elders' meeting ministering to each other and praying for one another
and for the flock.
Since elders are responsible for spiritual oversight, they should give their
corporate attention to…
- …concerns about weak, divisive, or nominal members.
- …the evaluation of local ministries and prospects for missions work
both at home and abroad.
- …higher level administration issues.
- …big picture budget concerns.
- …prospects for the development of future elders.
Here's a general sample of an elder's meeting agenda.
- Agenda: Order of Business
- Confirmation of minutes from previous meeting
